The story

LET is a summer festival in Hranice, a small town in Moravia, and the village of Drahotuše next to it. For four days in July 2024 it brought together bands, DJs, theatre companies and dancers: concerts at the town celebration, a night by the weir and a rave in the forest that ran until Sunday evening.

The festival opened on Thursday evening with HODNOTY, a site-specific performance that did not stay on a stage. The name is Czech for “values”. It started in the castle garden and moved through the town: streets, an arcade, the square with its fountain, a church and a garden. The guests did not sit and watch. They walked with it, from one scene to the next.

The church and the gardens

Inside the church the guests filled the aisle. In the gardens the scenes became quiet and slow.
